The landscape was beautiful. The green, forested mountains spread far beyond view and reached marvelous heights. The small river that meandered through this enchanting landscape followed the shape of the valley between those mountains. A clear blue sky and energetic sun adorned the sky and complemented the landscape.
A flock of birds flew over. One very tiny bird left the flock. Its eyes were filled with curiosity and sparkled with warm energy. The little creature flew closer and closer to the landscape to inspect each fascinating tree, lake, and outstanding rock. It landed to let itself be even more marveled by the landscape.
Just when the tiny animal had found a nice spot by an extraordinarily smooth lake, in the corner of its eye, it noticed a spot of gray in this colorful landscape. The bird turned its head to better view this out-of-place spot. It was a dark cloud, expanding at a considerably fast rate.
The bird quickly washed its rainbow-like feathers in the invigorating lake and continued to inspect the dreary, expanding cloud. It flew up and went in the cloud’s direction. The closer it got, the heavier it felt. The poor animal started to have trouble flying. When the cloud was so close the little bird could almost touch it, it slowly started falling down to the ground.
In its descent towards a much darker place than the beautiful, invigorating lake, the little bird started to feel scared. Might it be that its curiosity had led it to a threat?
